Waxing and tuning
Motherlode tune

Take the rust off your edges and carve your way down the hill. Includes a hot wax, standard edge sharpening, and minor PTEX base repairs.
Blast Tune
$150

Get the most out of your skis and rip like a pro. Includes a base prep wax to prevent your bases from drying out, a high-performance hot wax, custom edge sharpening, and PTEX base repairs.
Please note: Due to limited space in our mobile shop, we do not have access to machines for base grinding or severe edge damage. All tunes are done by hand. If your skis require machine refinishing, please contact your local shop.

All of our wax is produced by California-based Wend Waxworks. Wend has been producing high quality and cutting-edge snow waxes since 1971.
Wend waxes use their plant-based Medowfoam technology to create a non-toxic, biodegradable, and extremely fast wax.
Here at Broken Trail, we use Wend MF Performance wax as our standard tuning wax, and Wend MF Race for high-performance.
What is Base Prep?
Base prep wax is specifically designed to prepare your base material for another layer of wax. It penetrates deep into the base to condition the material, and helps bond future wax to the base.
It also helps prevent your bases from drying out when sitting for extended periods, or when not waxed for a while.
